Focus: A Wonderful Life (Pt.8)

Text: Gal.2:20

"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."

A wonderful life demands that we be successful in our endeavors or enterprises. There is nothing wonderful about being a failure in life. God wants us to be a success, not a failure.

John's prayer for the church is for us to prosper and be in health, even as our soul prospers. Paul says to Archippus in Luke 4:17, "Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it."

What's the essence of passing through this life without making an imprint on the sands of time? Who is ever born into this world to fail?

It is part of a successful life to leave a legacy of faith, hope, love, sacrifice and accomplishment for others to follow. One Scripture that touches me so much is John 4:6, which says, "Now Jacob's well was there." Almost 2,000 years after Jacob had passed through this world, the well he left behind was still speaking for him. Can you imagine the teeming population of people that drank from his well water since his time till Christ's time? Through that well he touched lives and left a legacy for others.

God desires that we live a significant life. Christianity is not just for mouth. Faith must be expressed through our work.

Paul talks about the labour of love, work of faith, and patience of hope. God calls us to a life of meaning - a life in which we are goal-setters and go-getters. Tell me, who wonders with so much excitement and enthusiasm at a life that is unaccomplished and unfulfilled? We can only point to our faith through our works.

We cannot afford to enter and exit this life without making a positive impact upon others. What would people wonder at, looking at your life?

In this world, the pursuit of worthy and eternal goals and the achievement of one's destiny is the essence of existence.

God demands that we live a life of diligence and industry, and of fruitfulness and productivity. God wants us to live a life that focuses on touching lives and achieving great goals. We are required by God to using our God-given energy to accomplishing our God-ordained destiny.

I pray we live a wonderful life by being faithful, forceful and fruitful. I pray we use up our God-given energy before we die. I pray we invest our time, talent and treasure into the kingdom of God, and give others something to talk about and emulate! May we never leave our world the way we met it! Amen!
