Focus: Early With God

03/01/2023

Text: Isa.26:9
"With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee EARLY: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness."

Decide, this year, to be early with God. Start right on time to seek God and do His behests. Don't be late. Don't delay. Don't dilly dally. Don't procrastinate. Don't let first things wait till the last moment. Let first things be first things. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Don't trifle with sacred things and times. Don't play catch up with things that matter most. Prioritize God in all you do.

*Seek God early; don't let it wait - Ps.63:1; 1Sam.1:19.

Don't mix things that should stay separated, and don't separate things that are meant to be together.

In 2Chron.29:20, it's written, "Then Hezekiah the king rose EARLY, and gathered the rulers of the city, and went up to the house of the LORD." Start the day with God, sustain the divine tempo in the day, and sup with Jesus at night.

*Follow Job's example. Rise up early and make necessary sacrifices to God for your children, for your life and your future - Jb.1:5.

Solomon says, "I love them that love me; and those that seek me EARLY shall find me" - Prov.8:17.

*Be early and quick to repent - Ps.78:34.

*Be early with the business of life - Song of Sol.7:12. No room for slothfulness.

God wants to give you early help - Ps.46:5.

*Pray for early mercy from your God - Ps.90:14, and call on your glory to manifest early - Ps.57:8.

*Be prompt in obeying God - early obedience - Gen.22:3. Obeying God is not a matter of when and how you want it. Obey God with a sense of urgency. Be quick about God. Amen.
