Focus: God Is Not Done Yet!
Text: Phil.1:6
"Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will evermore put His finishing touches to it."
God begins and finishes. He has no abandoned projects. He works at a thing from commencement to completion.
In Genesis 1 God did more than say things; He did things. He said and acted. He is a Being that is always doing. You can't take away doing from His being. He is ever being and doing. By divine design words and works are bonded.
In Genesis 1 God finished His work with the creation of man. He rested only after He was done with man. Even now, God will not rest until He is done with you - until He has perfected His work in you.
God will do much more for you than He did for the first man. He took Adam into his rest and place of abode.
You are a project in the hands of God now. I repeat, God will not rest until He is done with you. God has character and He is constant and consistent. You are His person. He delights in you. His hand is on you for good. He is working to bring you into His eternal rest.
For Adam, God planted a garden and put him in it. In the same vein, the Lord Jesus Christ has a prepared place for you. It is the best place, well fitted for you.
Right now, you are the work God is doing, and when He is done, He will present you to Himself a glorious individual, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that you should be holy and without blemish (Eph.5:27).
You are work in progress. You are going through a process in His hands now. He will surely smoothen out the rough edges of your life, and like David's smooth stone that brought mighty Goliath down, you will, by God's enabling, hit your target and fulfill your destiny.
God will complete His work in you. Trust Him. In His hands you are as good as done and before Him you will stand flawless in the last day.
Never write off yourself. God is taking care of the spots and defects. Just let God do His job in your life. Follow as He leads and yield as He works on you. Always bear in mind that God is not done with you. Until the DAY of Jesus Christ He will keep working in you, on you, with you, through you, and for you. I am absolutely convinced that God will perfect that which concerns you. Amen.
