Focus: God Values You More
Text: Mt.10:31"Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows."
Did you hear that? You are of greater value than many sparrows. Nothing God has made comes any close in value to the value He has placed upon us, not only as those He created in His image, but much more, as those He has redeemed with His blood.
We saw the other day how the iron did swim miraculously. See God saving an iron, something of less importance to human life. He didn't let the iron sink forever. He made it swim back to the owner. Now here's a story about Peter: "But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and BEGINNING TO SINK, he cried, saying, Lord, save me" - Mt.14:30. Peter, by faith, walked on the water, but by sight, he misstepped and began to sink. But he instantly called on Jesus Christ, the Master of the elements and the Lord of nature, and instantly too, Christ responded and helped him back up as they walked on water and back into the ship. "And IMMEDIATELY Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him..." - Mt.14:31. That's instant response. That's prayer answered in just a moment of time.
Why did Jesus save Peter and stopped him from sinking? It is because Peter was more valuable than the iron that did swim, and of more value than many sparrows.
If God saved an axe-head and attended to the needs of sparrows, then it is to be expected that He would much more save an heir of salvation, and indeed, one who is a joint-heir with Himself. Amen.
Child of God, fear not! Minister of the Gospel, worry not! Your God cares. He really cares about you. You matter to God more than the whole universe. Amen.
