Focus: God's Best
Text: Act.2:32,36
"This Jesus God raised up again, to which we are all witnesses. . . . Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and Christ—this Jesus whom you crucified."
Nobody has to like or love you as a condition for God to bless you. No one's hate will hinder God from helping you. God is beyond bribing or manipulating.
Peter tells the people that it is the same Christ who they tortured and crucified that God has made both Lord and Christ. They killed and buried Him, but God raised Him up again. Even the forces of hell could not hold Him down. Peter declares, "Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE that he should be holden of it" (Act.2:24). Death could not keep Him down.
It is interesting to know that while they were hating Him, God was loving Him. While they were demeaning Him, God was esteeming Him. While they were demoting Him, God was promoting Him. While they were despising Him, God was honoring Him as Lord.
Listen to me, if God is with you, there's nothing anyone can do against you and be successful.
All you need is just keep your hands clean. Live right and do right! Be kind and loving like Christ was when He was here on earth!
Someone will notice what God is doing in your life. Indeed God does noticeable things. Paul said to king Agrippa, "These things were not done in a corner." God is not into 'corner-corner' things. Let me say it again, God does not do 'corner-corner' things. God is in the business of blessing His people visibly and tangibly. Peter counted himself among those who were witnesses of what God did for Christ. In clear view of all, God vindicated and validated, exonerated and exalted Him, and made Him both Lord and Christ. So I say boldly again that God does touchable and noticeable things.
God's best often comes out of man's or Satan's worst. They crucified Jesus, but God raised Him up again and made Him Lord and Christ. God did not allow the cross to be His end. Yes, the cross is never the end of the story! On that cross, Jesus said, "IT is finished!" He did not say, 'I AM finished.' "It" - something was finished, not someone. O yes, up from the grave He arose! And forever He lives. He is the sovereign Lord. Paul declares, "Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the LORD OF GLORY" (1Cor.2:8).
He is the Lord of glory. Truly, the worst conditions of life can be used of God to achieve glorious ends. God transforms the cross into a crown. As far as God is concerned and in control, good things can come out of the worst situations and the best can come out of the worst place. Amen!
