Focus: Guess Who Is Praying For You!
Text: Heb.7:25
"Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, SEEING HE EVER LIVETH TO MAKE INTERCESSION FOR THEM."
Jesus is forever our High Priest. He offered Himself as our one time sacrifice that continues to speak for us in heaven. He conquered death and triumphed over the forces of evil. He rose from the dead and possesses the power of an endless life. He is now occupying the throne of heaven beside the Father. He is our heavenly advocate. In the book of Revelation He appears to John, revealing His names. Let us list some of them, so you can know who is in your corner and what He is capable of doing for you.

And the list goes on. Take each of these names and meditate on them, for He is the one who is ever living to make intercession for you. His titles reveal His character and capabilities. He is in your corner and in your life forever. He is able to save you to the very end. Indeed, His presence in heaven and His vicarious sacrifice are all the prayers you need. In heaven He is one of us - our representative.
Remember that it is in His name that we pray. His names reveal His identity and character, His majesty and might, and His mystery and ministry.
One of those names we have listed is the Almighty. In the Greek, it is Pantakrator, and in Hebrew, it is Elshaddai. Pantakrator is associated with power, while Elshaddai is connected to provision. The first speaks of capability, while the later speaks of sufficiency. He is the all-powerful and the all-sufficient. He is the omnipotent, the maker and owner of all things. He says, "Because I live, you shall live also." He supplies all your needs according to his riches in glory.
He is praying for you. If all other prayers fail, Christ's prayer for you will never fail. There's nothing about Him that can make His prayer to fail. He is infinitely qualified and incredibly able to handle all your cases before the heavenly Father. Cast all your cares on Him, for He cares for you.
