Focus: I am Here on a Mission

Text: 1 Jh.4:14

"The Father SENT the Son to be the Saviour of the world."

May the Spirit of God through the Scriptures speak to you and bring you face to face with your divine destiny!

*Our text tells us that our Lord JESUS was sent by His Father to the earth to be the Savior of the world. Sent and assigned.

John also says of Him, "God SENT his only begotten Son into the world, that we might LIVE through him... and SENT his Son to be the PROPITIATION for our sins" - 1Jh.4:9,10.

Christ Jesus was sent to save the world, to be the secret and source of our new life, and to be the answer to our sin problem.

*JOSEPH tells his brothers, "And God SENT me before you to PRESERVE you a posterity in the earth, and to SAVE your lives by a great deliverance" - Gen.45:7. And again, he says, "But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to SAVE much people alive" - Gen.50:20.

*MOSES says, "The God of your fathers hath SENT me unto you... I AM hath SENT me unto you... the God Jacob, hath SENT me unto you" - Ex.3:13,14,15.

The psalmist also lends his voice, "He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen" - Ps.105:26.

And here is the reason for God sending Moses, "Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt" - Ex.3:10.

*Read of JOHN the Baptizer, "There was a man SENT from God, whose name was John... SENT to bear witness of that Light" - Jh.1:6,8.

*ANANIAS says of himself, "Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost" - Act.9:17.

*PAUL says of himself, "For Christ SENT me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel" - 1Cor.1:17.

Everyone mentioned was sent by God and given a job to do. And they got it done.

And now you, what have you been sent to the earth to do for humanity? Or doesn't your life have any meaning? One day in the military camp, David asked his brothers, "Is there not a cause?" My beloved, your existence on planet earth is for a divine purpose. You are not here on earth by accident. You did not happen by mere incidence or coincidence, but by divine design and providence.

So quickly find what it is you are sent here for, and face it right away. Live to fulfill it, and be quick about it. You have no more time to waste. Don't play games with your life and destiny.

Paul says at the end of his life, " I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith" - 2Tim.4:7.

You can say same by the grace of God. One thing is sure: we are all here on a DIVINE MISSION. Don't be indifferent about it. Amen.
