But on the cross the Father "MADE him to be SIN for us." The word 'sin' in this context is 'sin-offering.' The Father made him to be our sin-offering. His death was God's atoning sacrifice for the sin of man.
By His death:
We are redeemed
We are reconciled with God
We are washed in His blood
We are justified by His grace
We are forgiven
We are accepted in Him
We have peace with God
We have hope of eternal life
We are saved and set free from our chains. The Son has forever liberated us from demonic shackles and empowered us to live fruitful lives on earth. The same God who made Christ to be sin for us has made us to be the righteousness of God in Christ. That is the great exchange. That is the great sacrifice. That is divine love in action. Amen.
