Text: Jh.2:11

"This BEGINNING OF MIRACLES did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him."

This first miracle is said to be the beginning of the miracles of Christ. In Genesis 1 we have the beginning of creation. In Mark 1 we have the beginning of the gospel of Christ, and in John 1 we also have the beginning of the Logos. God is indeed the God of beginnings. In Ezekiel 36:11, God's promise to Israel is to "do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the LORD." The God of awesome beginnings is now in your space to give your life a new beginning and a new meaning. The old will make way for the new.

*Why the miracles

•John tells us that by turning water into wine Christ unveiled His glory. Glory remains hidden until something is done to reveal it. It is in what we do that glory is seen. Glory hides where nothing is done to expose it. We know the BEING of God by His DOINGS. Christ wants to be active in your life. His actions make His presence noticeable. He has no reason to be idle in your life, except you tie His hands through unbelief. So, through miracles Christ unveils His glory.

•Christ works miracles not just to make you believe, but because you believe. Mary believed that her son, Jesus, could do something about the situation, and He did.

•Christ works miracles because He sees the need to. Even when we do not believe, He does it regardless.

•Christ works miracles in response to our faith. One of His expressions is: "Be it unto you according to your faith."

•Christ works miracles from a compassionate heart. Scripture says, "And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with COMPASSION toward them, and he HEALED their sick" (Mt.14:14).

•Christ works miracles to fulfill Scripture and the prophetic agenda of God. Through miracles Christ announces Himself and brings glory to the Father.

Christ in our lives is the miracle of miracles. No miracle is greater than being saved and set for God's eternity.

Christ in our lives is a sure guarantee for continuous miracles in our lifetime. I do believe that the Father is still in the business of magnifying His Son in our lives and before our eyes. In every generation He leaves a witness and a trace of His reality.

He loads us daily with blessings. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. His name is: I am what I am. His methods may vary, but His divine personality never alters.

God will keep doing miracles until this world comes to an end and a new one begins. His faithfulness is new every morning, and His compassion never fails.

Give your water; He knows how to turn it into wine.

Give Him your heart, your mess, your pain, your burden, your worry, your fears - just name it, and I am sure that He will turn it around for good.
