Focus: My Prayer For You (Pt.3)

Text: Ps.119:105

"Thy word is a lamp unto my FEET, and a light unto my path."

Today my prayer for you is focusing on your FEET.

The Word says, "And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy FEET, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground" (Ex.3:5). Lord, the holy places of your presence demand the bare feet, not the shoes of man's making. 

Let your child recognize that on Your ground and before Your presence that he is to come as he is, and to stand before You with feet uncovered! Make him conscious of the fact that he has a place to stand in Your presence!

Your Word says, "And he brought Aaron's sons, and Moses put of the blood upon the tip of their right ear, and upon the thumbs of their right hands, and upon the great toes of their right feet: and Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about" (Lev.8:24). Lord, claim by the toe the feet of Your child! Set apart the feet of Your child for ministry and for Your errands! Make it happen that "every place whereon the soles of your FEET shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be" (Dt.11:24). 

By faith, let him possess every place that he walks into, bringing glory to Your name!

Your Word says, "And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his FEET and ANKLE BONES received strength" (Act.3:7). Lord, let Your child receive strength in his feet and ankle bones and make him participate in worship to You along with others! 

Cure him of the disease of the feet whereby he is unable to stand firm in his faith!

Take away the spiritual corrosion that has developed in his spiritual feet and infuse it with supernatural energy! He shall not only be healed, but also find his feet at the feet of Jesus (Mt.15:30)!

Your Word says, "The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my FEET like HINDS' FEET, and he will make me to WALK upon mine high places…" (Hab.3:19). 

Lord, the feet of Your child shall be swift to running Your errands, and in the marathon race of the Christian faith, let him have energy for speed! He shall walk righteously, victoriously and majestically on top!

Your Word says, "Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip" (Ps.18:36). Lord, guide the steps of Your child! Let him not slip and fall! His feet shall not be trapped! Make him stand firmly on his feet as Your soldier, ready to do battle in Your name against the hordes of hell, and let his feet be "shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace" (Ezk.37:10; Eph.6:15)! 

Lord, as he focuses his eyes on You, pluck his feet out of the net, and let him testify, for the Lord has "brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings," he has "set my feet in a large room," and has not "suffered my feet to be moved" (Ps.25:15; 40:2; 31:8; 66:9)!

Your Word says, "I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word" (Ps.119:101). Again, Lord, this is the testimony of Your child! It is the testimony of the grace of spiritual discipline and diligence.

Your Word says, "I was eyes to the blind, and feet was I to the lame" (Jb.29:15). Father, make the feet of Your child to go places for the helpless, and "to guide our feet into the way of peace" (Lk.1:79)! He shall not walk into trouble or into the trap of the enemy! Yes, Your word is a lamp unto his feet, and a light unto his path (Ps.119:105). 

Give him the boldness and humility to stand in the place of worship (Ps.122:2)!

Father, Your Word says, "Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under FEET…" "Behold, I give unto you power to TREAD on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you…" "Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet…" "All they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet…" (Ps.91:13; Lk.10:19; Ps.8:6; Isa.60:14). 

Father, let nothing that is under the feet of Jesus Christ be above the head of Your child! Satan will forever find himself under the feet of Your child, in the name of Jesus Christ!

Your Word says, "But rise, and stand upon thy FEET: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee" (Act.26:16). Your child shall go from place to place, spreading good news of what You have done on the cross and the salvation You accomplished for all men! Yes, Lord, how beautiful upon the mountains are his feet as he brings the good tidings, publishing peace, bringing the good word of salvation to Your people, and declaring that YHVH reigns forever (Isa.52:7)!

Father, it is written in Your word, "And when Jacob had made an end of commanding his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, and yielded up the ghost, and was gathered unto his people" (Gen.49:33). Lord, at the end of Your child's life and work on earth, You will grant him eternal rest. He shall die peacefully - gather his feet into the bed and breathe his last! Lord, You will make his sleep of death sweet and he will rest in Your bosom forever! Amen.
