Focus: The Savior-Lamb
Text: Jh.1:29"Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."
In Exodus 12:3,4,5 we have a lamb, the lamb, and your lamb.
*A lamb - not a goat.
*The lamb - not every lamb.
*Your lamb - not their lamb.
*The Lamb of GOD - not man's or Satan's.
God owns the lamb, and He provides it for man's atonement and salvation. The lamb deals with the human sin, restores man's relationship with his God and his personal dignity.
In Luke 2:11 'a' Savior for the Jews is born. In John 4:42 the woman of Samaria encounters 'the' Savior of the world. In Luke 1:47 Mary rejoices in "my Savior."
Indeed Jesus Christ is the Savior-Lamb. He died to save Israel as His people. He died to save the world - the human race. He died to save each person, even me as an individual.
Salvation is not salvation until it is individually appreciated and appropriated. It is no wonder that Mary rejoices in her spirit for her Savior.
Don't let Jesus remain just a lamb or a Savior. Don't let Him remain just the lamb or the Savior. Rather, make Him your Lamb and your Savior. Experience Him. Enjoy Him. Feast on Him. Secure yourself in Him. Appreciate and adore Him.
Christ has decisively and finally unmessed your mess. Sin's mess is gone forever, and you are free at last. You now have eternal life and a living hope in Christ. Worship your Savior-Lamb and live to glorify him for the rest of your life. Amen.
