Focus: God's Presence

Text: Mt.28:20

"Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, LO, I AM WITH YOU ALWAY, EVEN UNTO THE END OF THE WORLD. Amen."

The presence of God is not for mere fun, but for serious business in the kingdom of God.

There's always a connection between the presence of God and the commission of God.

God promises to be with us as we get busy with His assignment. In whatever God has called you to do, He promises to be with you. He is with you for collaboration in the work He assigns and for confirmation of His word (Mk.16:20).

If God has something or anything to do with you, He will be with you.

God goes where His word goes. God is where His word is. God is where His work is being done. It's written, "And GOD WAS WITH THE LAD..." - Gen.21:20. The presence of God goes with you to the place of your assignment for empowerment, success and protection.

The presence of God in your life will be noticeable by the people you come into contact with. God's Word says, "And it came to pass at that time, that Abimelech and Phichol the chief captain of his host spake unto Abraham, saying, GOD IS WITH THEE in all that thou doest" - Gen.21:22. They felt and noticed the divine presence in Abraham's life.

Concerning Isaac, we read, "And they said, We SAW CERTAINLY that the LORD was with thee: and we said, Let there be now an oath betwixt us, even betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee" - Gen.26:28.

God is also with you to keep fear out and impart blessing (Gen.26:24).

Gen.28:15 says, "And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of."

Those who know the presence of God in their lives know unspeakable joy, for the psalmist says, "Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore" - Ps.16:11. Amen.
