Our Spiritual WALK
Our life on earth as Christians is biblically described as a 'walk.' It speaks of our whole or entire existence as believers from the point of our spiritual rebirth to the moment of our rapture - the moment when we are finally home with Christ our Lord and Saviour.
The present world is our place of transition, and we can't afford to be trapped in it. God placed us here. I like to call it our workplace. We are here for divine assignment, and our Lord Jesus instructs us to occupy till He comes. We are about the business of heaven on earth.
In our earthly walk we bear witness for Christ to the world. We let our light so shine before men that they see our good works and glorify our God.
By our lips, our life, and our labor we testify of Christ. In Ephesians Paul presents our spiritual walk in seven ways.
Firstly, he deals with our past walk in Eph.2:2. Secondly, he talks of our predestined walk in Eph.2:10. Thirdly, he tells about our vocational walk in Eph.4:1. Fourthly, we read of our holy walk in Eph.4:17. Fifthly, we learn of our love walk in Eph.5:2. In Eph.5:8 we learn of our family walk - we are "children of light." Finally, in Eph.5:15, we come across our wisdom walk.
